This Privacy Policy explains how the Daily Tarot mobile app ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. The app is intended for entertainment and personal reflection only. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
Information stored on your device
The following is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:
- your tarot readings, questions and personal notes,
- your card of the day history and statistics,
- your settings (language, text size, sound and music, card style, reminder time).
You can delete this data at any time in Settings → Clear all history, or by uninstalling the app.
Backups you create
If you use Export backup, the app creates a file containing your readings and opens your device's share sheet. Where you save or send that file (for example Google Drive or email) is your choice and is governed by that service's privacy policy. Restore from backup only reads a file that you select.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. To serve, personalize (where permitted) and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- your device's advertising ID,
- device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, language and app version),
- approximate location derived from your IP address,
- ad interaction data (such as impressions and clicks) and diagnostic data.
This information is collected and processed by Google, not by us. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad choices.
On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path may vary by device).
Some features let you choose to watch a rewarded ad, for example to open certain spreads or to receive a bonus advice card. Watching these ads is always optional.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules notifications locally on your device. No push notification server is used and no data is sent to us. You can turn reminders off in the app's Settings or in your device's notification settings.
Permissions
- Internet and network state: to load ads.
- Notifications: only if you enable the daily reminder.
- Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob as described in section 3.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share the data stored on your device with anyone. The only third party that receives data from the app is Google, for advertising, as described in section 3.
Data retention and security
Data stored on your device remains there until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data collected by Google is retained according to Google's policies. The app is designed to keep your information on your device, but no method of storage is completely secure.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us.
Your rights
Because we do not hold your personal data, you can access, export or delete your data directly in the app at any time. For data processed by Google for advertising, you can use the choices in section 3 or contact Google. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; you can contact us with any request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
